Welcome to my fitness and health blog. I am starting this blog to encourage myself and others to be healthy and fit. I started my journey two years ago when I was fed up with how I looked and more importantly how I felt. I tried several times to go to the gym and start up my own workout plan. I failed every try. So I broke down and decided it was worth the money to get a personal trainer. I knew it was going to be expensive, but it was the only way I was going to get going and stick to it. I had my trainer for about 4 months then, I decided to go out on my own (and I ran out of $$ for her). So, for the last year and a half I have been working out 4-5 days a week with a strict plan of each workout and what muscle groups I would work on. A few months ago I plateaued and haven't been seeing the results I want. I began doing a lot of research and I ran across this team of two women based out of Cali call
Tone It Up! and I love them!! They give you workouts, a daily blog, recipes and a very supportive community on Twitter and Facebook for free. I have been following them and doing their Beach Babe DVD workout and also their free bikini series. It has made a huge difference so far! They have a Nutrition Plan that cost a one-time fee of $150 for a lifetime membership to their plan and their exclusive members only community. They constantly update the plan and send it out to their members. I am going to purchase it tomorrow (after payday..hehe) and begin with their signature 5 Day Slim Down to get me started.
I am getting married in October and I am not where I want to be with my body or fitness level. I am hoping Tone It Up! can get me there! I will be blogging about my 5 Day Slim down daily to, (1) keep a journal of everything I eat and all my workouts (which will keep me ACCOUNTABLE) and (2) give others an idea of how the plan works.
