Lazy Days!

I'm not going to lie this week so far up until last night has been pretty lazy food wise (not a good thing). I didn't make it to the store over the weekend so my "healthy" food supply was running very low. I didn't get to eat as many healthy fruits and veggies Mon or Tue.

On Monday for breakfast I had a bowl of oatmeal sweetened with honey and for lunch I had a mixed green salad topped with low fat tuna salad. That evening I went bridesmaid dress shopping with my maid of honor and we had sushi after. I do have to say I was pretty good about what I ordered (mostly). We shared edamame and a cucumber salad (and a bottle of champagne to celebrate finally picking a bridesmaid dress!) For my dinner I ordered sashimi tuna and scallops which has no rice, it's just the raw fish, YUUUM. We both fell off the wagon when it came to dessert....we had chocolate cake, eeeeek! It was very very good and her and I both really never eat anything like that so we didn't feel too bad about eating it. My workout today was bicpets, shoulder and pecks with 20 minutes of cardio on the treadmill.

On Tuesday (yesterday), for breakfast I had another bowl of oatmeal with cinnamon and honey and lunch was a roman salad with grilled chicken, tomatoes and a vinaigrette dressing.  I finally made it to the grocery store and stocked up on all my healthy foods! My fiance and I made a delicious dinner, turkey marinated in soy sauce and pineapple juice, asparagus and brown rice. Today I did cardio along with an abs workout. I haven't had time to do my two workouts this week so far.

Today for breakfast I finally got to have the famous Tone It Up! Prefect Fit Protein pancakes again. I choose to make the banana pancakes with agave syrup and a few strawberries. I also made a cucumber salad from the Tone It Up! Nutrition Plan for lunch today! I have already done my morning workout with my best friend at our gym. We did a back and triceps workout along with a HIIT ( high intensity interval training) routine on the treadmill. Tonight I will be doing a full body workout from the Tone It Up! Beach Babe DVD

I will be back later to post about my meals and workouts for the rest of this week!

Day 5 of the Tone It Up! 5 Day Slim Down

So, my day 5 of the Tone It Up! 5DSD was the best. I was feeling super confidant and knew I was looking good! I had my 5 meals again and did 2 workouts as well!

Meal 1: Protein Pancakes and strawberries
Meal 2: Apple
Meal 3: Mixed greens salad and quinoa
Meal 4: Carrots and organic hummus
Meal 5: Shrimp, quinoa and asparagus

My morning workout was an hour long leg workout with 15 minutes of stretching. My evening workout was a Tone It Up! Beach Babe DVD bikini sculpt workout.

On Saturday I weighed myself first thing in the morning to see the results of the 5DSD. I had lost 4.5 pounds! I was feeling great all weekend. I made sure to stick to the regular Tone It Up! Nutrition plan so I didn't put any of the lbs back on.

Starting this week I will begin doing the regular nutrition plan to maintain my 4.5 lb weight loss and really fine tone my muscles. I will do the famous 7 day slim down next month to get my body ready for my photo shoot I'm doing for my wedding present for my soon to be hubby!

I will be posting about my meals this week as well as my workouts!

Day 3 of the Tone It Up! 5 Day Slim Down

Day 3 of the 5DSD went great, of course! Tone It Up! rocks!! I had another delicious 5 meals that gave me tons of energy and left me nice and full. And left my belly flat and not bloated!!

Meal 1: Banana split made with Greek yogurt
Meal 2: Grapefruit with stevia
Meal 3: Spicy mustard turkey wrap using roman lettuce leafs as the wrap
Meal 4: Perfect Fit Protein shake
Meal 5: Small piece of white fish lightly seasoned with lemon pepper and mixed veggies and a few grapes to soothe my sweet tooth ;-)

Another very big part of the 5DSD and the really the entire nutrition plan is to make sure you drink lots, I mean LOTS of water! You are supposed to drink no less than half your body weight in ounces. It seems hard at first, but it's something anyone can do. I have these wonderful water bottles that hold up to 24oz. I make sure to drink at least 3 1/2 of these a day, if not more. If you are working out as much as I have been (twice a day a.m. & p.m.) be sure to drink even more. Sometimes I like to have a ZICO coconut water to replenish nutrients, plus it's super yummy!

I made drinking tons of water one of  my main goals for this week as I get started with the nutrition plan. Start with small goals that can help you on your way to the main ultimate goal. I.E. drink enough water, have smaller portions, workout Mon.-Fri. etc. Baby steps will help you achieve your ultimate goal. My ultimate goal is to be at my ideal weight, eat healthy and exercise at least 5-6 times a week. And these "exercises" don't have to be at the gym. Go for a bike ride or go hiking on the weekends. These are still physical activities!

Two more days and then it's onto the regular Tone It Up! Nutrition plan to tone and maintain my weight.

Day 1 of the Tone It Up! 5 Day Slim Down

Yesterday was my first day of the 5DSD from the Tone It Up's Nutrition Plan. I had 5 different meals, two of them snacks.
Meal 1: banana split (made with Greek yogurt and a few other ingredients).
Meal 2: grapefruit with Stevia.
Meal 3: a wrap with chicken, veggies and brown mustard. The wrap was made out of collard greens.
Meal 4: a Perfect Fit Protein shake.
Meal 5: Shrimp with a lite wine reduction sauce, quinoa, asparagus and kale chips.

This was extremely easy to put together, breakfast, lunch and dinner were very quick meals and very satisfying! I can't wait to see how the next day goes.

I also did 2 workouts today as well! In the a.m. I did a toning arms workout and 20 minutes of cardio at my gym and in the p.m. before dinner I did two Beach Babe DVD workouts, bikini abs and bikini booty.

Bought the Nutrition Plan Today!

So, I bit the bullet and bought the Tone It Up! Nutrition Plan today. I am so very excited to start this journey with them and their supportive community. The Tone It Up! girls have done such a wonderful job with the plan. It is broken down in an easy to understand format. It is very educational as well. They want you to know why you should eat what you should eat and when to eat it. I am sitting down now figuring out what all I need to buy to do their signature Beach Babe Edition 5 Day Slim Down. It looks like a very easy to follow plan. And, it's only for 5 days. I can totally do this! This is a great way to start off strong and keep you going! Plus, you lose up to 5 lbs. Not bad!

I highly recommend at least looking into the plan and following the community on Twitter and Facebook to get an idea of how awesome it all is. The nutrition plan is well worth the money!

I begin my 5 Day Slim Down Monday! Check back and see my progress.  :-)
